Congratulations to iHealthtech Asst Prof Huilin Shao, and the scientists from the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) and Duke NUS for winning a $9.88 million National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Open Fund – Large Collaborative Grant! This collaborative grant is aimed to find new diagnostic and treatment of #Glioblastoma (GBM), a type of deadly brain #tumour.

Dr Shao will be leading the research and development of a nanosensor platform to detect multiple tumour biomarkers and identify tumour subtypes via blood tests. The innovative technique will avoid invasive testing on brain tumours, obtain the tumour information accurately for proper therapy, and monitor drug treatment and disease progression.
