Harnessing haptics: Award-winning ‘Haptics Enhanced Medical Training in Extended Reality’ project by Professor Lim Chwee Teck’s team at techIES 2023

The Haptics Enhanced Medical Training in Extended Reality project, led by Professor Lim Chwee Teck, won the third prize at the 2nd ShanghaiTech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit (techIES) 2023 International Session on Biomed! This project, which includes Dr Yeo Joo Chuan, CEO of the iHealthtech startup Microtube Technologies Pte Ltd, and PhD student Qi Jiaming, aims to advance medical education, training, and practice through innovative technology.
The team expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunity to showcase their innovation to a diverse audience, including investors, mentors, industry leaders, government representatives, and scientists, at yesterday’s event organised by ShanghaiTech University. They are optimistic that their innovation will attract attention and support, paving the way for further advancements in the field.
