iHealthtech PhD Student Qi Jiaming Wins Best Prototype Award at the Singapore Airlines AppChallenge 2023

Congratulations to Qi Jiaming, an iHealthtech PhD student from Professor Lim Chwee Teck, for being one of the five Singapore Airlines AppChallenge 2023 winners – Tertiary Student Track! Qi Jiaming’s research project, HaptGlove, clinched the Best Prototype Award in this highly competitive challenge in which 287 teams and 611 contestants participated. He demonstrated HaptGlove’s potential in aviation training, providing an immersive experience of exploring virtual worlds through its realistic sensing capability.
The Singapore Airlines AppChallenge 2023 – Tertiary Student Track, organised by Singapore Airlines, aimed to seek various digital solutions that address real business challenges. Qi Jiaming’s HaptGlove project has stood out and earned recognition as one of the top solutions among the participants.
