iHealthtech invention wins healthcare innovation fund award

Dr Viveka Kalidasan and her team at iHealthtech has won the LOTUS-NUS Healthcare Innovation Fund Award for their wireless sensing (WISE) sutures project at the Innovation 360° SEED event organised by the Centre for Innovation in Healthcare (CIH) NUHS in late November. These sutures can detect sudden bleeding, infection and suture breakage in places where the clinician cannot inspect, thus potentially allowing faster response to post-surgical complications.
Viveka is a Research Fellow from Asst Prof John Ho’s Wireless Bioelectronics Lab and she works closely with the Healthtech Translation Hub (HATCH) team to productise and commercialise her research.
