NUS researchers boost chemotherapy uptake in breast cancer treatment with localised magnetic fields

A/Prof Alfredo Franco-Obregón and his research team have demonstrated in a recent study that their innovative magnetic therapy technique could significantly enhance chemotherapy by specifically targeting cancer cells, reducing the need for high doses of cancer drugs, and minimising side effects. This study holds tremendous potential to improve survival rates for women with breast cancer, offering hope to countless individuals.
Their study was published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Cancers.
