According to the World Health Organization, more than 1.4 billion of the world’s adult population are not having enough physical activity, thus impacting their #health, #wellbeing, and #qualityoflife. To help reduce the trend of insufficient physical activity for adults, Dr Yeo Joo Chuan from iHealthtech and Dr Wee Seng Kwee from Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS), Nanyang Technological University, have teamed up to develop a gamified fitness programme that utilises a smart sleeve to monitor joint movement and muscle activity. Their proposal has won the 2021 Healthy Longevity Global Grand Challenge award. Warmest congratulations to Dr Yeo and Dr Wee on their achievement!
