Dr Jin Yunxia wins third place at Falling Walls Lab 2024 for breakthrough in graphene-based brain probe technology

  • September 12, 2024

Dr Jin Yunxia Jin from iHealthtech Director and Principal Investigator Professor Lim Chwee Teck’s lab, has contributed to the development of NeuroEdge — a cutting-edge graphene-based brain probe that records neuron activity at a density 10 times greater than current technologies. This innovation enables precise, long-term monitoring of brain cells, unlocking critical insights into the brain’s cellular architecture, with promising potential for improving the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.

For her pioneering work, which offers essential diagnostic tools and advances therapies for neurological diseases, Dr Jin stood out among 43 applicants and 14 finalists to win third place at the Falling Walls Lab Singapore 2024 pitching event on September 4, 2024, hosted by SGInnovate and supported by the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service and German Embassy Singapore.
