Boosting cancer treatment: NUS researchers develop efficient ‘food delivery service’ for transporting cancer-fighting genes
- May 22, 2025

In Singapore, a single CAR-T cell infusion for cancer treatment can cost an astonishing S$670,000. That’s why NUSiHealthtech Principal Investigator Dr Andy Tay and his team—working closely with the clinical community, including the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine—are developing innovative technologies to significantly lower this cost. Their goal is to make this life-saving treatment more affordable and accessible by pushing the frontiers of medical technology. We look forward to the day their breakthrough reaches the market and transforms lives.
Their study was published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Biomaterials.
