Professor Lim Chwee Teck is the inaugural NUS Society (NUSS) Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Founding Director of the NRF-funded Singapore Health Technologies Consortium.

His research interests include human disease mechanobiology, microfluidics and wearable technologies for healthcare applications. He has co-authored over 500 peer-reviewed publications and delivered more than 530 plenary/keynote/invited talks. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society (UK), National Academy of Inventors (US), International Union for Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine, American Institute for Medical & Biological Engineering, International Academy of Medical & Biological Engineering, ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology, Academy of Engineering, Singapore and the Singapore National Academy of Science. He currently sits on the editorial boards of over 20 international journals. Professor Lim has co-founded six startups which are commercializing technologies developed in his lab.

Professor Lim and his team have garnered over 120 research awards and honors including Nature Lifetime Achievement Award for Mentoring in Science, Asia’s Most Influential Scientist, Highly Cited Researcher, IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Awards, ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award, Asian Scientists 100, Vladimir K. Zworykin Award, Wall Street Journal Asian Innovation Award (Gold) and the President’s Technology Award among others.
