Occupational Safety and Health Policy for iHealthtech


The Institute for Health Innovation & Technology (iHealthtech) is establishing this policy to protect and promote the safety and health of all staff, students, research partners, contractors and other visitors to the laboratory.


This policy is applicable to all staff, students, contractors and other visitors of iHealthtech.

Policy Statement

iHealthtech is committed to building a positive safety and health (S&H) culture and prevention of injuries and ill health.

Legal Compliance

iHealthtech is committed to comply with all applicable occupational safety and health legislations, guidelines and standards that it subscribes to and other corporate policies it adopts.

Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS)

The protection of the S&H of all staff, students, contractors and visitors shall be achieved through the implementation of relevant occupational safety and health management systems and programmes.

Risk Assessment and Control

iHealthtech will make all reasonable and practicable effort to provide a safe workplace to staff, students, contractors and visitors, by proactively identifying and minimizing the S&H hazards. iHealthtech will encourage all staff and students to proactively report hazards and to take action to minimize hazards.


iHealthtech will ensure that all staff and students are trained and competent before working in the laboratory.

Incident and Accident Investigation

iHealthtech will ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported and investigated to determine the cause(s) to prevent the reoccurrence of such incidents and accidents.

Continual Improvement

iHealthtech shall strive for continual improvement of its S&H practices and standards. This policy, management systems and programs shall be reviewed annually to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.
